Fire ravages Koh Sulaiman Forest

A fire has broken out in the Koh Sulaiman forest in the surrounding area of Dera Ismail Khan's Darazinda Tehsil, damaging pine nuts, olive, and other valuable trees.

As per reports, a fire has broken out in the Koh Sulaiman forests of Darazinda Tehsil in Dera Ismail Khan due to unknown reasons.

The fire has spread across more than five kilometers of the northern area of the forest, severely damaging pine nuts, olive, and pine trees, along with other valuable trees in the natural forests. The local residents have strongly demanded that the K-P chief minister take permanent measures to protect the natural forests and to immediately replace the current staff, from the Secretary of Forests to the officers and personnel stationed in the area, with new personnel.

They argue that the current staff, due to being locals, are unable to take action against those who illegally cut down the trees and set fires.
