Mel Medarda’s abilities have been leaked ahead of her debut in League of Legends, and early impressions suggest she might be one of the most powerful mages in the game’s history. 

Known for her light-based projectiles in teaser trailers, her full kit reveals a vast arsenal of tools that solidify her as a high-damage artillery mage.

Leaked abilities include an infinite stacking passive, a root, full damage immunity, and a theoretically global ultimate. Her passive, Searing Brilliance, stacks shadow imprints on enemies, providing an execute threshold at higher stacks. Her ultimate, Golden Eclipse, deals global damage based on the number of stacks on her targets, consuming them for devastating effects.

Mel also boasts defensive abilities like Rebuttal, granting brief damage immunity while reflecting projectiles and increasing movement speed. Her kit positions her as a counter to burst damage but vulnerable to sustained DPS and tanky champions.

Mel Medarda is set to arrive with patch 2025.S1.2 on January 23, 2025. Players can also earn her for free through challenges tailored for new players drawn in by Arcane.
