Osman Khalid Butt replies to your burning questions

Taking to his Instagram Stories, actor Osman Khalid Butt just did his fans and followers a huge favour. Entombed in a black hoodie with just his face (dotted with a beard, of course), the Diyar e Dil actor seized the opportunity to candidly answer some burning written questions, along with the disclaimer "No guarantee I'll respond".

Ranging from which Harry Potter house he would be in (Ravenclaw) to what his favourite books are (a trio of Stephen King bestsellers: Misery, The Shining, 'Salem's Lot), from which country he would love to visit this year (Japan) to what he is currently reading (the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe), Osman had his answers ready and waiting.

The answer that stood out the most, however, was when Osman delivering his scathing reply to a question about his relationship with Maya Ali.

"Are you Maya Ali's brother?" read the musing of one enquiring fan.

"No, no," replied Osman gravely. "I'm her taya abbu."

For the unversed, one of showbiz's most wholesome duo, Osman and Maya have maintained they are good friends, although their decision to partake in a wedding photo shoot last year did little to dispel rumours that there was something deeper at play between them.

In other non-Maya news, Osman also had a response ready when asked what he would be doing if he was not an actor.

"What did you want to be as a child? And which profession would you choose other than acting?" read the question.

"I actually wanted to be a dancer when I was a child," revealed Osman, before plunging into a reminiscence about being laughed at for dancing at a family wedding as a child, which immediately "put a pin" in that dream. "Any other profession I would choose would definitely be teaching," he added. "I think I'm a great teacher!"

The one question Osman would love to say goodbye to forever, of course, relates to when he will tie the knot. "If you could remove one question from your interviews, what would it be?" read one question.

"I'm so glad you asked," replied Osman, pasting a series of at least 13 screenshots all asking him when he would get married.

With his Chandler Bing-esque wit, it remains to be seen just how long Osman can fend off women suitors, although one thing we can be sure of is that his pseudo-niece Maya Ali will not be in line.
