Tasha K accuses Cardi B of sabotage in $3.4M defamation case

Tasha K has alleged that Cardi B is attempting to sabotage her career and bankruptcy filing, three years after being ordered to pay the rapper $3.4 million in a defamation lawsuit. 

The gossip blogger, 42, was found liable in 2020 for defamatory claims that Cardi B, 32, was a drug-abusing prostitute with STIs.

In newly surfaced court documents, Tasha K accused Cardi B of trying to financially "bully" her by exposing alleged secret offshore trust accounts in the Cook Islands, Nevis, and Georgia. She further claimed the rapper is conditioning any debt settlement on restricting her ability to speak freely on her blogs and social media platforms. These claims form part of the broader legal battle surrounding Tasha K's bankruptcy case.

Cardi B’s attorneys have countered by alleging that Tasha K has fraudulently transferred assets to her husband Cheickna Kebe’s name to avoid payment. They argue that despite claiming fewer than $60,000 in assets—including $95 in her bank account—Tasha K continues to live a luxurious lifestyle, including renting a $7,000-a-month apartment. Cardi B has requested the court dismiss Tasha K’s bankruptcy case and bar her from refiling for two years.

Outside of the courtroom, Tasha K remains active. She recently hosted a sold-out New Year’s Eve event in Houston, attended by hundreds of her fans. Known for her controversial YouTube channel, she has faced multiple defamation lawsuits in the past, adding to her contentious public persona.

Meanwhile, Cardi B is navigating both professional and personal milestones. The rapper plans to release her long-awaited sophomore album this year while managing her high-profile divorce from Offset. She is also set to compete for best rap performance at the Grammy Awards on February 2.
