Qatar Airways has swiftly refuted reports claiming it has shut down its offices in Pakistan, reassuring customers that the airline continues to operate "as usual."

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, the airline clarified, “Qatar Airways flights to and from Pakistan are operating as usual, and our offices remain open.”

The clarification comes after reports surfaced suggesting that the Qatari national carrier had closed its offices in Pakistan as part of cost-cutting initiatives.

On Tuesday, it was reported that the airline had shut down its offices across Pakistan as part of a strategy to reduce operational costs. However, Qatar Airways confirmed that these reports were false, emphasizing that their services in the country have not been affected.

In a related development, Qatar Airways recently announced the resumption of flights to Damascus, Syria, after a 13-year hiatus.

The airline will operate three weekly flights to the Syrian capital, marking a significant move toward regional reconnection, particularly after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime following years of civil war.

Qatar Airways has experienced a notable financial year, posting a record 39% increase in its annual net profit, reaching 6.1 billion Qatari riyals ($1.67 billion).
