Four residential properties were burned to ashes after a fire broke out in Paras village of Balakot on Tuesday, witnesses and rescuers said. A short-circuiting was said to be the cause of the fire.
The affected families suffered losses worth millions. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
The Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), along with other agencies, conducted a rescue operation and managed to knock down the flames, preventing further damage. According to the Paras Station House Officer (SHO), Syed Tasveer Shah, the houses of Amjad Shah, Abdul Qayyum, Abrar, and Arshad Hussain Shah were burned.
