Ariel Mitchell, the attorney representing Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged victims, has condemned Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser for making jokes about the abuse allegations during Sunday’s awards ceremony.
Mitchell, who represents multiple women accusing Diddy of sexual assault and trafficking, told The Daily Beast she hopes “karma does not make [Glaser] eat her words.”
In an email, Mitchell expressed her disappointment, stating, “My clients are never happy to have their trauma mocked, and Ms. Glaser should be ashamed of herself.” She reiterated her remarks initially made to TMZ, where she hoped Glaser had never experienced sexual assault or ridicule for it.
Glaser, known for her edgy comedy, made several remarks about Diddy during the event, but reportedly cut even harsher jokes during her preparation. One unused line suggested, “This is the last time all of you will be in the same room together until the Diddy trial.”
Mitchell criticized the Globes for allowing such comments, questioning why victims would expect their experiences to be mocked at a non-music industry event. Glaser has yet to respond publicly to the backlash.
Despite the controversy, Golden Globes executive producer Glenn Weiss praised Glaser’s performance, calling her hosting “a home run” and hinting at her potential long-term involvement with the show.
The lawyer’s comments come amid ongoing legal cases against Diddy, with allegations continuing to dominate headlines.
