ISLAMABAD:

A court in Islamabad has ordered the police to arrest and produce Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for repeatedly skipping hearings in a 2016 case involving the recovery of contraband from his car.

Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti presided over the case concerning illegal arms and liquor.

During the hearing, the court was informed that neither Ali Amin Gandapur nor his lawyer was present.

In response, the judge directed the senior superintendent of police to arrest Gandapur and present him in court.

The hearing was adjourned until January 21.
