Bahria Town Hospital performs TAVI procedure
Bahria Town International Hospital (BTIH) Karachi has made history by successfully performing its first-ever Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedure, marking a significant milestone in the field of cardiology.
The groundbreaking procedure was carried out by renowned Interventional Cardiologist Dr Yasir Pracha on January 2. With this procedure, BTIH has established itself as the third private hospital and the fifth overall in Sindh to achieve this milestone.

This innovative technique significantly reduces recovery time, minimises the risk of complications, and provides a faster and less invasive solution for patients in need of valve replacement.
BTIH Lahore has been performing TAVI procedures since 2018 and has already successfully carried out over 27 such procedures. and With the successful completion of this procedure, BTIH Karachi has also further solidified its position as one of the leaders in cardiovascular care. "We are proud to have successfully performed our first-ever TAVI procedure, which demonstrates our hospital's dedication to providing the latest in medical technology and expert care to our patients," said Dr. Yasir Paracha. "This achievement reflects our mission to offer minimally invasive treatments."
