Sabzazar police claimed to have cracked the city's first murder case of 2025, arresting a contract killer who carried out the crime in exchange for two Umrah tickets.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Usman, was hired to murder Riyaz, who was fatally shot on January 1st during a visit to the weekly bazaar with his wife.
The investigation revealed that the murder was orchestrated by Riyaz's brother-in-law, Imtiaz, over a property dispute.
Police disclosed that the contract killer accompanied Imtiaz to the crime scene.
