Resurfaced footage of FS1 host Joy Taylor has gone viral, shedding light on the challenges she claimed to have faced in a male-dominated industry. 

The clip, from the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast in March 2023, shows Taylor discussing the constant need to prove herself. “You have to constantly reaffirm that you are good enough, that you belong there, and then always prove it,” she said, adding, “You got to do twice the work for half the opportunity.”

This video gained traction after a lawsuit filed last Friday by hairstylist Noushin Faraji named Taylor, former FS1 host Skip Bayless, and Fox executive Charlie Dixon. The lawsuit accuses Taylor of leveraging sexual relationships with Dixon and ex-NFL star Emmanuel Acho to advance her career while discouraging Faraji from filing harassment complaints.

The allegations include claims that Taylor dismissed Faraji’s concerns about misconduct by Dixon and Bayless, who allegedly offered Faraji $1.5 million for sex. The lawsuit also asserts Taylor fabricated a sexual misconduct allegation against Dixon to safeguard her career.

Faraji’s filing details incidents where Taylor’s actions raised red flags. In 2016, Faraji suspected Taylor and Dixon were romantically involved after observing their interactions. Taylor’s then-husband, Richard Giannotti, reportedly discovered evidence of infidelity and subsequently divorced her. Despite this, Dixon allegedly pushed for Taylor’s promotion to FS1 over Bayless’s objections.

In 2020, Taylor allegedly sought a role on Acho’s show, ‘Speak for Yourself,’ using their relationship to secure his recommendation. Faraji claims Taylor admitted to romantic ties with both Dixon and Acho, dismissing concerns about potential repercussions.

Fox Sports released a statement addressing the allegations: “We take these allegations seriously and will allow the legal process to run its course.” Taylor, Bayless, Dixon, and Acho have yet to comment on the matter.

The viral resurfaced footage contrasts Taylor’s statements about excelling under pressure with the claims in the lawsuit, raising questions about workplace culture at Fox. As the legal proceedings unfold, the case may have significant implications for Fox’s internal policies and the reputations of those involved.
