Anthony Mackie, known for his role as Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), gave a heartfelt shoutout to his longtime co-star Sebastian Stan during the 2025 Golden Globes. The moment occurred while Mackie was on stage with Captain America: Brave New World co-star Harrison Ford to present the award for Best Animated Motion Picture.

While addressing the audience, Mackie took a moment to acknowledge Stan, saying, “We’re still friends with Sebastian Stan, by the way,” while searching the ballroom for him. He then made a hand heart gesture, expressing his affection for his The Falcon and the Winter Soldier co-star.

Following his Golden Globe win for A Different Man, Stan also made headlines for his candid remarks about The Apprentice, a film tackling challenging themes. In The Apprentice, Stan portrays a young Donald Trump, a role that has sparked controversy. During a screening, Stan shared that many actors were hesitant to publicly discuss the movie, stating, “They were too afraid to go and talk about this movie,” and highlighting obstacles posed by publicists and representatives.

Despite the challenges, Stan’s portrayal in The Apprentice earned him a nomination for Best Performance in a Motion Picture — Drama, competing alongside Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), and others.

Mackie and Stan have shared the screen in multiple Marvel films, with Mackie as the Falcon and Stan as the Winter Soldier, forming a lasting bond both on and off-screen. Their interaction at the Golden Globes was a testament to their enduring friendship and mutual respect as colleagues.
