Rapper Trae Tha Truth’s missing daughter found after months of searching

Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth joyfully reunited with his daughter Truth Thompson after a prolonged search.

Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth shared a deeply emotional moment on social media this week as he was finally reunited with his six-year-old daughter, Truth Thompson, following a prolonged and difficult ordeal. 

The heartwarming video, posted on Thursday, marked the resolution of a tense situation that began when his daughter went missing last year.

In December, Trae publicly asked for help after Truth was allegedly taken by her mother following a scheduled visitation. The rapper had been granted full custody of his daughter at the start of 2024, and the incident occurred during what was supposed to be Truth’s first visit with her mother since the custody arrangement. The search for Truth lasted several months, with Trae using his platform to appeal for information and assistance in locating her.

Though he did not reveal the full details of how his daughter was found, Trae expressed his immense relief and gratitude in a social media post. He shared that the experience had reinforced his belief in the power of faith. In his emotional caption, Trae began by emphasizing the importance of trusting in a higher power: “Never Let No One Tell You GOD Aint Real!!!!” He reflected on the emotional strain he felt during the months without his daughter, acknowledging that at times he felt “completely broken and empty.”

Despite the pain, Trae held onto his faith, believing that God was watching over Truth during her absence. “Though I didn’t know where Truth was, I knew God was protecting her,” he wrote, expressing how the situation deepened his understanding of faith. He also credited those who helped him throughout the ordeal, writing, “God put the right people in place… God aligned every person that prayed and heard their cry.”

The rapper concluded the post with words of hope for others facing similar struggles. “Use Me As A Example That GOD Can Make Miracles and Shake Up Tha World!!” he urged, encouraging other parents not to give up.

This reunion marks the end of a difficult chapter for Trae Tha Truth, whose past experiences with custody battles have been challenging. In a 2022 interview with AllHipHop, Trae discussed the toll that custody issues had taken on him, explaining that the stress had overshadowed other aspects of his life, including his music career.
