Actor and model Neelam Muneer Khan may live her professional life in front of a camera, but the Dil Mom Ka Diya star delivered an important confidence-boosting message on the definition of beauty in a video circulating online.

"Beauty and grace come with age," remarked Neelam in the video. "People get very worried about things like fine lines appearing on their faces, but there is an inner confidence that comes with not wanting to get any work done [on your face]."

Supermarket aisles may be laden with products designed to cloak the signs of ageing, but Neelam is convinced that wrinkles and fine lines only amplify beauty. Musing over the trend to have cosmetic procedures performed to reverse the signs of ageing, Neelam added, "People look even more beautiful and natural when they look different from each other. The more work people get done on their faces, the more similar they look to everyone else. You shouldn't be too cautious with your appearance."

Neelam's message is clear: natural beauty shines through without being cosmetically altered. However, not wanting to alienate individuals who do opt for cosmetic procedures and feel uncomfortable with their natural appearance, Neelam concluded, "The people who want to get work done on their faces will do it at any age – so they should go ahead if they want."

Neelam's words serve to highlight a trend of aiming for unachievable perceived perfection at a time when social media is rife with images of filtered perfection. As an actor with a public platform, her message on accepting unavoidable wrinkles and fine lines underscores a healthy outlook on embracing oneself and boosting self-confidence.

On the work front, Neelam was most recently seen in the television drama Mehshar. The actor made her film debut in 2017 with the comedy thriller Chupan Chupai opposite Ahsan Khan, followed by romantic comedy Wrong No. 2 alongside Sami Khan (sequel to Wrong No.) Both films proved to be a commercial success. In 2018, Neelam gained recognition for her role in Dil Mom Ka Diya. The following year, she appeared in Kahin Deep Jaley opposite Imran Ashraf. In 2020, Neelam played the role of Ayeza, a wilful, independent girl in Bikhray Moti, a serial co-produced by the husband-wife team of Humayun and Samina Saeed.
