QUETTA:

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti praised the courage and dedication of the Balochistan Police and the Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) during the 17th Basic Passing Out Parade at the ATF Training Centre on Tuesday.

In a symbolic gesture, the CM refused to speak from a bullet-proof dice. "I will use it the day every Ghazi is provided with a bullet-proof vehicle." He acknowledged the sacrifices of officers who laid down their lives in the fight against terrorism and emphasised the need for national unity to defeat those targeting innocent citizens, teachers, and lawyers.

Bugti announced several upgrades for the ATF Training School, including the installation of modern thermal cameras, infrastructure repairs, and the naming of new blocks after martyrs. He assured that families of the fallen heroes would not be left alone.

"The sacrifices of our martyrs will always be honored, and their families are the collective responsibility of the nation." The CM highlighted the government's ongoing support, which includes 16 years of education expenses for children of martyrs from both civilian and security backgrounds.

Balochistan Inspector General of Police Muazzam Jah Ansari also spoke at the event, commending the advanced training provided to ATF personnel to prepare them for evolving security challenges.
