27 'outlaws' held after 17 encounters last week
The district central police killed three suspected robbers and arrested 27, including 14 in injured condition, during various operations in different areas last week.
There were 17 alleged encounters with dacoits in which 24 different types of illegal weapons, 10 motorcycles and a car were recovered from the arrested accused.
According to a police spokesperson, a total of 645 suspects have been arrested in the east, west and south districts.
In the ongoing campaign against drugs, over 24 kilograms of of hashish, ice, crystal and heroin worth millions of rupees were recovered from different areas. More than 104 different types of illegal weapons and ammunition used in looting citizens and other incidents were recovered from the arrested suspects.
