Bhatti Gate guided tour takes visitors to heart of city

Nearly 110 tourists participate in event

LAHORE:

The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) organised a guided tour of Bhatti Gate.

The tour offered participants a journey into the heart of Lahore's history and cultural heritage.

Starting from the Fort Road Food Street, the participants explored landmarks including the historic Bhaati Gate, Sheesh Mahal Ghaati and Mubarik Haveli.

The tour also included the Faqir Khana Museum, Naqsh School of Arts and Tarannum Chowk, alongside the residence of Allama Iqbal and shop of Mohammad Rafi.

The tourists also got a glimpse of the architecture of Haveli Naunhal Singh.

They were treated to a live drum, flute and harmonium performance and brunch.

Nearly 110 tourists participated in the tour.

WCLA Tourism Deputy Director Asghar Hussain said on the occasion, "The Bhatti Gate tour is a testament to the vibrant history and culture that defines the walled city of Lahore.

Through initiatives like these, the WCLA aims to bring the stories of our heritage to life, fostering a deeper connection between the community and its rich past."
