Senior PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai, responding to statements by Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, said that negotiations with the government are being conducted in the national interest. He clarified that Imran Khan has not sought any national reconciliation ordinance.
Yousafzai remarked that the statements by Khawaja Asif and Faisal Karim Kundi are incomprehensible. He alleged both these leaders have "lost their senses", adding humorously that the government should focus on their treatment. He accused Khawaja Asif of fearing that if negotiations succeed, Rehana Dar might enter the assembly, making it difficult for him to attend.
Criticising Faisal Karim Kundi, he stated that his only contribution is issuing frequent statements against the provincial government, with no vision or interest in provincial matters.
Yousafzai urged the government to avoid playing both sides of the wicket regarding negotiations and to restrain its ministers from making irresponsible statements.
