Commercial courts needed for CPEC: Justice Shah
Supreme Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has stressed the need for Pakistan and South Asia's judiciary to adopt alternative arbitration systems.
Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad on Saturday, Justice Shah highlighted the significance of CPEC, calling it a flagship project.
He proposed creating a "Judicial Silk Road" to connect South Asian countries and suggested implementing alternative arbitration systems to address disputes related to the BRI and CPEC. He also recommended establishing an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) system in all 138 districts of Pakistan. "Our judicial system should have commercial courts for CPEC," Justice Shah asserted as stressed the importance of interaction between the judiciaries of South Asian countries and China.
