Jennifer Lopez feels "trapped" in her unsold mansion, haunted by memories of Ben Affleck amid split
Jennifer Lopez is growing increasingly frustrated with her $68 million Beverly Hills mansion, which has languished on the market for months without a buyer. The sprawling estate, once shared with ex-husband Ben Affleck, has become a source of emotional strain as it remains unsold.
“She can’t wait to get the hell out of the house,” a source exclusively revealed to In Touch. “She assumed it would have happened by now, especially after the renovations and personal touches she added, but nothing’s happened.”
The mansion, boasting 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, and five acres of land, was listed for sale in July 2024. Despite its grandeur, the lack of interest from buyers has left Lopez feeling stuck in a space full of unresolved memories.
“The house is like a noose around her neck, and she feels trapped,” the insider added. “She walks around the house and feels all the bad memories. The place still has imprints of Ben everywhere.”
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, purchased the home in May 2023 during happier times, but their relationship began to falter just a year later. Signs of trouble emerged at the May 2024 Met Gala when Lopez attended solo. By August, she filed for divorce exactly two years after their Georgia wedding.
Although Affleck moved into a $20 million property in Pacific Palisades, Lopez remains tied to the unsold mansion, complicating the divorce proceedings.
“It’s been six months since she filed, and nothing has been resolved,” the insider revealed. “They can’t agree on how to divide things up, which is delaying the process.”
