LAYYAH:
A special fumigation drive is in progress in the district as 89 urban and 160 rural localities have been fumigated. The executive district officer (EDO) health Dr Khalid Naeem requested that residents in the area cooperate with all efforts regarding the fumigation drive. “We realise that there is inconvenience but people need to be patient and cooperate with the tehsil authorities to ensure that that every area is fumigated,” he said. The EDO said that ponds and drains were being sprayed with anti-mosquito drugs to check any possibility of dengue fever spreading in the district. He revealed that there were no dengue patients in the district.
