The time Shraddha had Varun beaten up
Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, both products of Bollywood lineage, share a bond that dates back to their childhood. Their fathers, David Dhawan and Shakti Kapoor, often worked together, allowing the two future stars to cross paths on film sets from a very young age. However, one particular childhood incident remains a highlight of their long-standing friendshipone that Varun recently shared in an interaction with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra.
The Badlapur actor revealed that when he and Shraddha were just eight years old, she had taken him up a mountain to confess her feelings. A young and clueless Varun rejected her, leading to what he described as a "filmy" consequence.
"We were eight. At this age, what guy likes a girl? I was simply confused as to why she was taking me to the mountains. What happened there, we all know. But, let me tell you the story post that," Varun shared with a laugh.
The story didn't end with that innocent rejection. According to Varun, the Aashiqui 2 actor held onto the memory for two whole years before taking playful revenge at her tenth birthday party.
"It was Shraddha's tenth birthday party. At that time, there were around four guys who were in love with Shraddha. We were all playing in the jumping castle. Suddenly, I was surrounded by these guys, who questioned me, 'Why don't you like Shraddha?' I was like, 'I am interested in the dance competition.'"
Varun went on to describe the confrontation, revealing that the four admirers didn't take his indifference lightly. "They started fighting with me. She made them beat me up because I was not accepting her proposal. It was a very filmy scene. And then I went on to take part in the dance competition and even won it. She came third."
Despite the playful childhood drama, the two actors remain close friends today. Varun even made an appearance in her latest film Stree 2.
