BHAKKAR:

A fake faith healer was arrested for his involvement in immoral activities and sexual exploitation of women. Police also recovered explicit video evidence from the suspect.

The suspect, identified as Allah Bakhsh alias Kala Peer, was arrested from the town of Shakargarh, within the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Thal police station in Bhakkar's Mankera tehsil.

The accused, allegedly involved in sexual crimes for over 25 years, operated under the guise of offering spiritual remedies and charms.

Police said Kala Peer preyed on unsuspecting women, luring them with promises of spiritual healing and then blackmailing them with secretly recorded explicit videos.

Upon receiving a tip-off, police raided the accused's premises and apprehended him. A USB containing incriminating videos of women who had visited him for spiritual guidance was seized.

A case has been registered against the accused at the Hyderabad Thal police station, and further investigations are underway.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, SP Investigation Bhakkar, Chaudhry Masood Nazir, revealed shocking details.

He stated that the accused not only sexually harassed and exploited women but also extorted money from them by threatening to release the videos.

The information was reported to District Police Officer Bhakkar, Shehzad Rafiq Awan, who ordered immediate action.

During the raid, police discovered that the accused had set up a hidden camera in his private chamber, which recorded videos of women he manipulated.

The chamber contained a bed, strategically positioned in front of the camera.

These videos were later stored on USB drives and used for blackmail.

SP Nazir further disclosed that Allah Bakhsh, in addition to his crimes, served as an imam in a local mosque, leading prayers and delivering Friday sermons. This role helped him gain the trust of the community, making his heinous acts even more insidious.

The accused is currently in police custody, and expert investigators are handling the case to ensure a transparent and thorough investigation. Authorities have vowed to pursue all legal measures to bring the perpetrator to justice.

"Individuals involved in such despicable acts deserve no leniency," said SP Nazir.
