13 terrorists neutralised in S Waziristan IBO
Security forces killed 13 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area Sararogha in the South Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a news release on Wednesday.
The media wing of the military stated that the IBO was carried out on the reported presence of the terrorists. "During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged khwarij location, as a result of which, thirteen Khwarij were sent to hell," the news release said.
The dead terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians, it said. "Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country."
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for killing the 13 terrorists in Sararogha. In their separate statements, they appreciated the bravery of the security forces during a successful IBO.
The president and prime minister reiterated their commitment to the complete elimination of terrorists from the country. They said that security forces were conducting the operations to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.
"The entire nation is united against terrorism and actions against Fatna Al-Khawarij will continue until the complete end of terrorism," the president said. "The security forces will continue to crush the nefarious intentions of the enemies of humanity in the same way. The nation is proud of the fearless youth of the security forces," the prime minister said.
