Man commits suicide after shooting wife
A shooting incident in the Main Bazaar area of Ichra on Muhammad Ali Road left one man dead and three others injured, including two women on Wednesday.
Police reported that 40-year-old Adnan Abid opened fire on his wife Kanwal, sister-in-law Fizza, and brother-in-law Shehzad Jamshed following a heated family dispute.
The victims sustained gunshot wounds to their legs, arms, and back and were rushed to Services Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
After the attack, Adnan turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations revealed that the tragic incident stemmed from domestic discord.
Adnan's wife, Kanwal, had moved to her parents' home after discovering his alleged extramarital affair. Adnan arrived at the residence, demanding that Kanwal and her sister return with him.
The confrontation escalated into a deadly altercation when Kanwal's family resisted.
SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar and his team arrived at the scene to oversee the investigation. Forensic experts collected evidence, and the body was transported to the morgue by an Edhi ambulance.
