Turbat blast claims two lives, injures four

The blast damaged a vehicle, with victims swiftly moved to a nearby hospital for medical aid and post-mortem.

At least two people lost their lives and four others were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Dasht area of Turbat, Balochistan, on Wednesday, according to police reports.

The explosion also caused significant damage to a vehicle, officials confirmed. The deceased and the injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical assistance and post-mortem procedures.

Providing further details, law enforcement agencies revealed that the remote-controlled device detonated as the victims were traveling in the vehicle.

The deceased have been identified as Zaman and Umer Zahoor. The injured, who are currently receiving treatment, include Naeem, Javed, Ameen, and Waheed.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and security measures in the region have been heightened to prevent further occurrences.
