Max George, member of The Wanted, is set to be discharged from the hospital after undergoing heart surgery.

The singer was hospitalized earlier this month due to cardiac issues after feeling unwell. Despite his condition initially failing to improve, Max now reports feeling better, though he remains "battered and bruised."

At 36 years old, Max shared a video from his hospital bed, where he updated fans, stating, “It’s time to go home. The numbers are way, way better.” He mentioned upcoming lung-related tests but expressed relief that the major concerns had been addressed.

Max also revealed he will need a pacemaker to stabilize his heart rate, which had dropped dramatically last week. The singer, who went sober four and a half years ago after liver issues, previously ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor.

His girlfriend, former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, 23, visited him during his stay, sharing a photo of them holding hands. Maisie expressed her pride in Max as he prepared for surgery, while the couple’s close bond has fueled speculation about an engagement after Maisie was spotted wearing a sparkling ring during a Cyprus vacation.

Max thanked fans for their support and signed off with a thumbs up, signaling a positive recovery ahead.
