Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy reveals new tattoo after the One Direction singer's death
In a social media post on Sunday, Kate Cassidy revealed a pair of angel wings tattooed on her index and middle fingers, seemingly in honor of Payne.
The tattoo was debuted in an Instagram Story photo where Cassidy was seen cuddling Nala, the rescue dog she and Payne adopted just one month before his untimely death. Cassidy captioned the image with a simple red heart emoji, offering no additional explanation for the poignant ink.
Liam Payne, 31, died after a fatal fall from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A preliminary autopsy report revealed multiple injuries and internal bleeding, with toxicology results showing the presence of drugs in his system at the time.
The couple, who began dating in October 2022, had shared glimpses of their life together on social media, including their decision to adopt Nala. In a TikTok video posted on September 16, Cassidy expressed her nervousness about proposing the idea of adopting a dog, but Payne’s enthusiastic response led to the adoption of the 4-month-old pup.
Cassidy and Payne’s bond was evident in their shared commitment to giving Nala a better life, a sentiment that continues through Cassidy’s heartfelt tribute.
In addition to Cassidy, Payne’s former bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, along with Cheryl Cole, the mother of his son Bear, gathered for his funeral on November 20, marking a somber reunion to honor the beloved musician.
