Shameik Moore has apologized for a misunderstanding involving him and Laura Harrier.

On Friday (Dec. 20), the White Men Can’t Jump actress shared a TikTok explaining that she had asked the actor-singer to remove a year-old video of them taking photos together. The video implied they were dating, which was not true, as Harrier is engaged to creative consultant Sam Jarou, a point she emphasized in her TikTok.

"I texted him, 'Hey, can you take this down? I’m not sure why you would post that. Also, I am literally getting married and I don’t like this insinuation that there’s something going on between us if that was your intention,'" Harrier said, recounting the message she sent to Moore.

Harrier stated that despite her request, the Across the Spider-Verse actor left the video online, prompting her to call Moore a "fucking weirdo." She further explained, "I just wanted to say something, because I don't like that," and added that she doesn’t appreciate her "marriage being disrespected."
