Ryan Reynolds allegedly blocked Justin Baldoni months before Blake Lively’s harassment allegations
Ryan Reynolds reportedly blocked Justin Baldoni on social media months before Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against him.
According to text message exchanges obtained by Page Six, Baldoni, 40, realized in May that Reynolds, 48, had blocked him and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, on Instagram.
The alleged texts also suggest Baldoni was concerned that Lively, 37, might do the same.
“We should have a plan for IF she does the same when [the] movie comes out,” Baldoni allegedly texted his publicist. “Just want you guys to have a plan. Plans make me feel more at ease.”
As of now, it appears Lively has not blocked her *It Ends With Us* co-star on Instagram, as Baldoni still follows her. However, Lively does not follow him back.
Similarly, Reynolds and Baldoni do not follow each other on Instagram.
Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni on Friday, months after their film This Ends With Us premiered amid speculation about major tensions between the two.
The complaint accuses Baldoni, who acted alongside Lively and also directed the movie, of troubling behavior that allegedly made her so uncomfortable that she arranged an “all-hands” meeting during production.
In the complaint, which Page Six reviewed on Saturday, Lively reportedly outlined expectations for Baldoni, including demands to stop showing her “nude videos or images of women” and to avoid discussing his prior “porn addiction” and sexual history.
She also allegedly requested that he stop referencing the “cast and crew’s genitalia” and refrain from making comments about her “weight” or her “dead father.”
Additionally, the complaint claims Baldoni was asked to avoid adding sex scenes or other explicit material that was not part of the agreed-upon script.
Responding to the complaint, Baldoni’s lawyer and Wayfarer Studios’ attorney, Bryan Freedman, told Page Six that the “Gossip Girl” star’s allegations are “categorically false.”
“These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media,” he stated.
Freedman also addressed earlier reports that Baldoni had hired a crisis manager during his dispute with Lively, explaining that it was necessary because Lively allegedly made “multiple demands” and threatened not to appear on set or promote the film unless her “demands” were met.
