Public Humiliation: Shopkeepers shave robbers’ heads
Two alleged thieves were tortured by shop keepers in public.

Two alleged thieves were tortured by shop keepers in public. According to police officials, shopkeepers in Katchery Bazaar caught and beat up two men after accusing them of having stolen from their stores. The store owners shaved their heads, eyebrows and moustaches and beat them in the street. According to the police, two alleged robbers forced entry into a clothing store but the owner raised alarm owing to which a number of passers-by caught and beat them. Store owners in the area said that the accused thieves had allegedly stolen wares from their shops as well. Rail Bazaar Police reached the spot and took the men into custody and registered a case against them. The accused have been identified as Rashid and Arif.
