'Livestock scheme for women soon'

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that the provincial government will soon introduce a livestock programme for rural women.

Addressing an event, she said the Dhee Rani Programme would also be launched soon and Punjab had banned child marriages.

She remarked that abuse, chaos and arson.could not shape the destiny of the country. The positive role of media, along with all other institutions, is indispensable for national progress.

She highlighted that Pakistan is among the countries facing numerous challenges due to a growing population.

While many Muslim countries are adopting family planning, unfortunately, discussing this topic in our country is still considered taboo.
