Inspector General Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon has announced the launch of a province-wide awareness campaign to promote the implementation and enforcement of traffic laws.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the Central Police Office in Karachi. The conference was attended by the Additional IG and DIG Traffic. "We need to raise awareness about traffic laws and prevention of accidents," stated the IG. This campaign will continue until December 31, the IG said, adding: from January 2025, traffic rules will be enforced.
The IG mentioned that driving vehicles without licence is a major issue, and there is a need to overcome this menace which lead to fatal accidents.
