Four booked for gunpoint rape

Police have arrested the suspects involved in the sexual assault of a minor boy at gunpoint in the Lakki district.

Police said that under the leadership of SHO Zahid Khan of Ghazni Khel police station, the force raided the Jabu Khel area and arrested two notorious nominated suspects, Qismatullah and Neematullah, who had allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-14-year-old boy at gunpoint.

The police recovered two Kalashnikovs, along with ammunition, from the suspects. They transferred both nominated suspects into custody, and started further investigations.

The area is no stranger to such acts of sexual violence. Towards the end of last year, a 16-year-old girl fell victim to a horrifying crime.

She was kidnapped and subjected to gang rape in the district. The appalling incident occurred as the girl was en route from her grandparents' home. She was forcibly taken hostage at gunpoint by perpetrators identified as Mudasar and Azizur Rehman.

According to the FIR, the assailants forced her into the nearby woods, where they ruthlessly assaulted and raped her before making their escape.

The traumatised victim, hailing from a financially disadvantaged family, promptly reported the incident, leading to the registration of an FIR by the police. Subsequently, she underwent a medical examination.
