KWSC says pipeline repair continues non-stop

Water crisis enters 14th day, tanker owners make windfall profits

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation has assured that the repair of 84 inch water main line is underway.

According to KWSC Spokesperson the repair work began on Monday continues non-stop, 24 hours a day.

The KWSC spokesperson stated that efforts are underway to complete the repair by Wednesday evening to restore the water supply across the city.

The Chief Engineer Water Trunk Main Zafar Palijo is personally overseeing the repair work, with Superintendent Engineer Tanveer Shaikh, Abdul Aziz, and Siddique Tunio along with other officials, present at the site.

Considering public inconvenience, CEO KWSC Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has also launched an emergency General Public Service GPS enabled water tanker service to ensure temporary water supply to affected areas.

The repair work, which entered its second phase on Monday morning, is expected to be completed by Wednesday evening, as per the CEO's earlier remarks. This initiative aims to address the pressing water supply challenges in the city.

Meanwhile, the water crisis in many city areas continued for day-14 on Tuesday.
