Travel influencer Kim Seri Eina accused of fraud over failed travel services
Kim Seri Eina, a South Korea-based influencer originally from Malaysia, is facing criticism for allegedly mismanaging her travel agency’s services.
Several dissatisfied customers have shared their grievances on social media, accusing her of poor communication and unprofessionalism.
The controversy began when Malaysian customer Siti Nur Hiqmah took to Threads to describe her ordeal. Siti revealed that her company paid over RM110,000 in October for a group trip to South Korea, requesting Malaysia Airlines tickets.
However, Kim Seri reportedly failed to secure the tickets, citing insufficient funds, and suggested alternative arrangements. Flight details were only shared two days before departure, and some return tickets were issued after the group had already arrived in Seoul.
The group also faced other issues, including a closed attraction on their itinerary and last-minute hotel booking changes.
Another dissatisfied customer, @nikialaqishtina on X, formerly Twitter, detailed similar challenges. Her group of 10 paid over RM30,000 for a package but faced delays in receiving flight tickets, inconsistent communication, and broken promises.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH TRAVEL AGENT KIM SERI
This post is going to be long but I’m posting this not with the ill intent to tear her business down, but solely to share our experience, our review as her past client which I believe I have the full right to do so.— NAQ (@nikialaqishtina) December 16, 2024
Many individuals expressed disappointment online, highlighting other complaints against Kim Seri’s travel services. Some are urging potential customers to reconsider supporting her business. Despite the growing backlash, Kim Seri has not responded to the allegations.
