Shahid Afridi becomes grandfather again

Former Pakistan cricket captain, Shahid Afridi, has been blessed with the news of becoming a grandfather once again. His eldest daughter, Aqsa, has given birth to a baby girl.

Shahid Afridi shared the news with his followers on social media, posting pictures of the newborn and congratulating his daughter Aqsa and son-in-law Naseer on their new arrival. Expressing his gratitude, the former cricketer thanked Allah for the beautiful blessing, referring to the arrival of his granddaughter as a reflection of divine mercy.

On social media, Shahid Afridi wrote, "Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed Aqsa and Naseer with a beautiful blessing. Daughters are the most precious reflection of His mercy and the most precious blessing." The family has named the newborn Ayra.

In response to the announcement, Shahid Afridi’s followers and well-wishers have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the occasion with the family.

Aqsa, who married Naseer Nasir in a private ceremony in December 2023, is now celebrating the arrival of her first child.

Previously the cricket star’s daughter, Ansha Afridi, and her husband, Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, welcomed a baby boy in August.
