A festive tale well told at St Patrick's School
This weekend, St. Patrick's High School for Boys, Karachi, brought the festive spirit to life with their enchanting production of a Christmas play inspired by A Christmas Carol.
This play centred on one day in the life of Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve as Christmas for him is all 'Bah and Humbug.' That night three spirits haunt his dreams, showing him what he once was as a boy, joyful and happy, the miserly man he is now and what his future fate could be. After his confrontation with the spirits, he awakens a new man who is glad to be alive, and he sings that message to the world.
"A Christmas Carol" primarily sends out the message of the importance of kindness, generosity, and caring for others.
Choir 24 comprising students of grades 5, 6 and 7 - Jordan Alizer, Patrick Noel, Gabriel Zahid, Alex Almeida, Evan Jason, Julian John, Rey Rodrigues, Alex Johnson, Seth Fernandes, Mikhail Francis, Mitchell and Vincent Christo, Liam, Haniel Shahid, Jerryson Ashiiq, Elliot Lazarus, Jeremiah Kartha, Diam Matthew, Katriel Kamran, Abner Arthur, and Mikhail Fernandes provided the heartfelt musical support. The beauty of the play was that Muslim and Hindu students too participated with enthusiasm.
Overall, this production was a testament to the hard work of the students and teachers. It not only entertained but also reminded everyone of the true meaning of Christmas-kindness and goodwill!
