QUETTA:

Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has expressed deep concern over the abduction of 10-year-old Musawir Khan Kakar, calling the incident a source of pain and anguish for the entire province.

He assured the victim's family that all efforts would be made to ensure the child's safe recovery.

"The issue of Musawir Khan's abduction has caused pain and trouble for all of us. I feel the anguish that the family is going through, and we stand with them in full solidarity, sharing their grief equally," Governor Mandokhail stated during a meeting with a 22-member delegation led by Malik Amanullah Khan Mehtarzai at Governor House.

Representatives of almost all political parties were present during the meeting.

The delegation included representatives of various political parties and family members of the abducted child.

Governor Mandokhail vowed to escalate the matter to federal and provincial authorities, urging all law enforcement agencies to take concrete steps for the minor's immediate recovery.

Musawir Khan was abducted from the Multani Mohalla area of Quetta. Despite a week-long protest at the Balochistan Assembly Chowk by political and civil society groups, no breakthrough has been made to date.

The protest was called off after assurances from Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti that every effort would be made for the child's recovery.

The incident has sparked outrage across the province, with calls for enhanced security measures and swift action to ensure justice. Governor Mandokhail reiterated his commitment to the safe return of Musawir Khan, emphasizing the need for accountability and timely action to prevent such incidents in the future.
