Aamir Khan wraps up shooting for 'Sitare Zameen Par', announces release date

Film was initially scheduled for December 2024 release, but Khan had decided to delay the release

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has completed the shooting for his forthcoming film Sitare Zameen Par. The final shoot took place on Sunday night at Film City in Mumbai under the direction of RS Prasana.

The film is now in its post-production phase, which includes editing, visual effects, and sound design. The one-day patch shoot began at 2 pm on Sunday and continued until late in the night. Sources reveal, "Aamir Khan ensured that the shoot was completed on Sunday so that it could be sent to post-production."

Sitare Zameen Par is being hailed as the sequel to the 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. The film is also an official remake of the 2018 Spanish sports comedy Campeones, with Aamir Khan starring alongside actress Genelia D’Souza in lead roles.

Known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking, Khan is paying attention to every detail in the film’s production. Focus group screenings are expected to begin in February 2025, allowing the team to fine-tune the story further.

While the film was initially scheduled for a December 2024 release, Khan has decided to delay the release to summer 2025 in order to perfect the final product.
