Alex Bruesewitz, a political adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, collapsed while speaking at the New York Young Republican Club’s annual gala on Sunday night. The 27-year-old was on stage introducing incoming White House senior aide Dan Scavino when he began stumbling over his words before fainting, according to video footage circulating on social media.

Bruesewitz was swiftly attended to by several people in the audience after collapsing. It was unclear at first what caused him to faint. Raheem Kassam, the master of ceremonies and former aide to British politician Nigel Farage, reassured the crowd shortly after the incident. Kassam humorously shared that Bruesewitz had asked him backstage, “Did I at least look cool?” in reference to his fall. "You used gravity like I've seen nobody use gravity before in their lives," Kassam joked, before assuring the audience that Bruesewitz was recovering well backstage.

Trump expressed confidence that Bruesewitz would recover quickly. "I know that Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun," Trump said. "There’s no doubt about that. He’s a very special guy." Trump’s remarks highlighted the close bond between the two men, with Bruesewitz being a staunch supporter and a key figure in Trump's campaign.

Bruesewitz, the CEO of political consultancy firm X Strategies LLC, is a prominent figure in conservative political circles. Known for his unwavering support of Trump, Bruesewitz’s firm focuses on backing "America First" candidates and replacing Republican lawmakers who oppose Trump’s policies with those who support the MAGA movement.

Before the incident, Bruesewitz had been addressing the audience and commending the New York Republican Club for its support of Trump’s campaign. He also highlighted the presence of key Trump allies, such as former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz and former White House strategist Steve Bannon, both of whom were also speaking at the event.

Despite the alarming moment, Bruesewitz’s recovery appears to be progressing smoothly. The audience continued to show their support, as the event proceeded with a hopeful tone. Bruesewitz remains a prominent figure in Trump’s political network, and his quick recovery is a relief to both his supporters and colleagues.
