PESHAWAR:

On the instructions of the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a Shuhada Jalsa (martyrs' gathering) will be held at Bagh-e-Naran, Hayatabad, in memory of those who lost their lives during the protest at D-Chowk, Islamabad.

The event will be attended by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, provincial ministers, and central leaders.

During the gathering, candles will be lit in remembrance of the deceased workers, and prayers will be offered for the speedy recovery of the injured.

PTI has completed all arrangements for the event, which is being organized to honour those who lost their lives during the D-Chowk protests in Islamabad. Banners and posters have been displayed across the city for the Shuhada Jalsa.

The event is scheduled to begin at 2 PM and will continue until the evening. It will be attended by a large number of party members, including Chairman Barrister Gohar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, provincial and national assembly members, and workers.

Candles will be lit to honour the memory of those killed during the firing at D-Chowk, and prayers will be offered for the quick recovery of the injured.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that 12 people lost their lives during clashes with security forces at Islamabad's D-Chowk on the night of November 26, Express News reported.

After meeting PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi at the beginning of the month, party chairman Barrister Gohar spoke to the media, stating that they had provided information about the Islamabad protest to Imran Khan.

"Due to a lack of access to newspapers and TV, the founder was unaware of what had transpired in Islamabad on November 26," said Gohar.

Barrister Gohar also praised the workers who participated in the protests, conveying that Imran Khan had honoured their efforts.

"The founder's message is that we should attend the National Assembly session, go to the Senate, and raise this issue in parliament. Protest and take this matter forward," Gohar added.

He stated that the PTI founder would announce the next course of action later.

He said that today they informed Imran Khan about the martyrdom of Rangers, police, and PTI workers, to which he expressed deep sorrow.

"No shots should have been fired during the sit-in or protests, whether in Islamabad or anywhere else," he strongly condemned.

He also ordered the care of the injured and paid tribute to all the workers and leaders.

According to Barrister Gohar, Imran Khan sent a message to the party to maintain unity, as opponents are trying to create divisions.
