Scores of citizens showed up at Karachi International Book Fair (KIBF) on its second day at Expo Center Karachi. Students from schools, colleges and universities, as well as social, literary and government figures visited the book fair. An unusual presence of madressah students was also noted.
The stall set up by Turkey at KIBF was the center of attention for the visitors, where free Islamic books were distributed among the citizens. Talking to the media, the representative of the stall, Muhammad, said that it was pleasure to see the love of books among the youth in Pakistan. In response to a question, he said that the importance of books has not diminished in this modern era, as proven by immense presence of the youth in the book fair.
