Girls' badminton, TT events conclude

Saint Lawrence College secured first position in the girls badminton event while in the girls table tennis event, Khatoon Pakistan College took the top spot in the on-going Commissioner Karachi Sports Festival here on Friday.
Government Girls Degree College Lines Area finished as runner-up in the badminton event while in table tennis, Government Girls Degree College Lines Area were the runner-up.
Secretary College Education Asif Ikram was the chief guest on Friday distributed prizes among the winners. The event was attended among others by Additional Commissioner Karachi Syed Ghulam Mehdi Shah, Chairman Organizing Committee Hazim Bhungwar, Organising Secretary Ghulam Muhammad Khan and Principal Government National College Dr. Javed Ahmed Abbasi.
Asif Ikram encouraged players to showcase their talents in both sports and education, praising Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi for organizing the Sports Festival for the second time.
The boys' badminton and table tennis events will take place on Tuesday, December 17 at Government National College from 8:30am to 11:30am, with 16 colleges participating.
The festival feature competitions in boxing, kabaddi, wheelchair basketball, rowing, table tennis, badminton (for both boys and girls), cricket followed by a cultural show.
