CHAK JHUMRA:

A man shot his brother-in-law for contracting a love marriage with his sister.

Ali Hamza, a resident of Bao Wala Street 9, had contracted a love marriage with the sister of the accused, Faisal, a year ago.

However, Faisal was unhappy about this marriage.

Near a hotel, Faisal intercepted Ali Hamza, who was returning home from a water filtration plant with his nephew Sameer.

Faisal shot Ali Hamza twice in the chest, resulting in serious injuries. Ali Hamza died at the scene.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police officers arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and handed it over to his heirs after a post-mortem examination.

The police have started searching for the accused.

Meanwhile, 42-year-old Shahzad, a peanut vendor, was fatally shot by his 21-year-old nephew, Sufiyan, near Jawad Club in Usman Town.

The motive behind the killing was a domestic dispute. Shahzad was called home from his pushcart by Sufiyan, who then opened fire, resulting in his death at the scene.

Sufiyan managed to escape after the incident. Police officers, including SHO Ghulam Muhammadabad and In-charge Investigation Ashfaq Bajwa, promptly responded to the incident.
