Ex-NFL Larry Johnson claims children attended late-night rap party hosted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé
Former NFL player Larry Johnson has sparked controversy with claims that he witnessed children attending a late-night rap party hosted by music legends Jay-Z and Beyoncé in Colorado.
On December 10, 2024, during the sports podcast Fearless with Jason Whitlock, Johnson recounted an evening when he and other artists, including prominent rappers, attended a party in Colorado. He claimed that at around 11 pm, children unexpectedly arrived at the gathering.
"So, when 11 (pm) hits, we turn on the music, we started drinking, and then out of nowhere came these young children," Johnson said.
Johnson’s remarks came shortly after American attorney Tony Buzbee filed a lawsuit accusing Jay-Z of sexual misconduct with a minor in 2000.
Johnson explained that he was in Colorado for a photoshoot, which he believes took place in the winter of 2006 or 2007. He added that Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Naomi Campbell, and Jaime King were present at the event.
According to Johnson, Jay-Z had rented a house to host the rap party as part of the photoshoot preparations. He described the gathering as being intended for adults only.
"Jay was there, B was there, and he (Jay) rented this house, and we were supposed to do this rap party for this photoshoot. We rented this house, and we were watching LeBron play, and after the game, it had to be like 10 or 11 o'clock, so we getting ready for the party, mind you, it's all adults," Johnson said.
Johnson also claimed that a young Latin girl and her mother were present at the event but left early due to school commitments. He expressed confusion about why they attended the party in the first place.
The former NFL player added that children appeared at the gathering without explanation. He recounted sitting next to one child who was seated beside Beyoncé. According to Johnson, Beyoncé addressed the child, saying, "That does not look sexy," a remark he said he did not understand.
"And then out of nowhere came these young children, I don't know where they came from, for a rap party at 11 at night, drinking, loud music, and us dancing wild. Like, I don't know where these kids came from."
