These efforts underscore the team’s commitment to strengthening their pitching staff.

While rumors suggested a trade involving Triston Casas and Mariners’ Luis Castillo, Speier confirmed these talks are not in progress. Still, the Red Sox’s focus remains sharp. Chris Cotillo of MassLive revealed that Boston had aggressively pursued Max Fried in free agency before he signed an eight-year, $128 million deal with the Yankees. Cotillo also noted that the Red Sox are preparing an offer for Burnes, signaling their intent to land a game-changing ace.
