The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought a reply from the Election Commission of Pakistan over a plea seeking details of nomination papers submitted by interior minister Mohsin Naqvi for the Senate elections.
The petitioner's lawyer informed the court that his client had repeatedly visited the ECP office, but the electoral body refused to provide the requested documents. He argued that his client was compelled to approach the court to obtain Naqvi's nomination papers and related documents, citing the right to information under Article 19(A).
The court issued a notice to the ECP and adjourned the hearing.
