Zelda Williams recently shared an inspiring story about her late father, Robin Williams, at the Comic Relief Live event in New York City.

During her emotional speech, Zelda revealed that Robin made it a point to hire homeless people on every project he worked on, whether on film sets or during his comedy tours.

"My dad, on all of his projects and especially when he was on tour, would hire homeless people," she told the audience. "He would actively give them jobs." Zelda highlighted her father's immense generosity and encouraged others in the entertainment industry to follow his example. She explained how hiring even one person could make a profound, generational difference for those in need.

Robin Williams' commitment to helping the homeless extended beyond his personal actions. He was also vocal about the issue, addressing it during a 1990 Senate hearing on homelessness prevention, stressing the importance of keeping people in their homes rather than just providing temporary relief.

Zelda's comments at Comic Relief Live echoed a message of individual responsibility, urging people to take small but meaningful steps toward positive change. Her heartfelt tribute emphasized the difference that one person’s actions, like her father’s, can make in the lives of others.

Comic Relief, which raises funds for homelessness prevention, has raised over $436 million to date, positively impacting millions. Zelda’s reflection on her father’s legacy serves as a reminder that kindness and generosity can create lasting change.
