Chelsea Lazkani, star of ‘Selling Sunset,’ is one step closer to officially ending her marriage to ex-husband Jeff Lazkani.

The couple, who share two children, reached an agreement on December 9 to legally terminate their marriage while continuing to negotiate their financial and property settlement, In Touch can exclusively report.

Court documents obtained by In Touch reveal that the couple, who married in 2016, have agreed to a legal separation. Once a judge signs off on the deal, they will be legally single, although their property and financial issues remain unresolved. A court hearing has been scheduled for later today.

This agreement comes after Jeff’s request for the court’s intervention. He cited the prolonged delay in finalizing the divorce, which has been dragging on for over seven months. Jeff asked the court to declare them legally single while the divorce proceedings continue. In his filing, he stated, “I would like to move forward with my life and request that this court terminate my marital status.”

Chelsea, 31, disagreed with Jeff’s claims about the delay, explaining that it was due to him hiring new lawyers. She also initially objected to the terms proposed by Jeff, saying they didn’t offer sufficient protection for her or their children. However, the couple eventually reached a compromise and presented a deal to the court.

Chelsea, 31, filed for divorce in March, citing "irreconcilable differences" after seven years of marriage. The couple, who met on Tinder, share two children: 5-year-old Maddox and 3-year-old Melia. Their divorce has been marked by disputes over spousal support, property, and custody arrangements. Jeff opposed Chelsea’s request for support and asked for exclusive use of their Manhattan Beach home, a property purchased during the marriage for $2.9 million. Jeff pays the mortgage and other bills on the house, and he estimates its market value at $4.2 million.

Despite the ongoing divorce proceedings, the former couple continues to negotiate their settlement, with a hearing scheduled to determine the next steps.
